“I am very proud to have found the right partners, Franck Muller and QuimeraRR, in the motorsports and automotive field to complement our vision for W Racing. We will be making history once again with the launch of this very exciting adventure,” said Ralph Debbas, Chairman of W Motors.
“We are incredibly excited to announce this next chapter in QuimeraRR’s non-fossil-fuel racing endeavour. Working with such an amazing group of partners is an unprecedented opportunity, as we develop the W Motors SuperSport hybrid, synthetic fuel GT car,” said, Javier de Rocafort, Chairman of QuimeraRR.
In order to maximize the success of the motorsport program, W Motors and QRR will build upon the involvement of industry-leading partners including RUF, Magna Steyr, Altran, Studio Torino, Air Fuel Synthesis and Pirelli.
Based on the collective knowledge and capabilities, and WM and QRR's commitment to push the boundaries of technology in the sustainable mobility scene, the W Motors SuperSport HSF is the first-ever hybrid, synthetic fuel GT racecar.
Powered by a hybrid internal combustion engine, the SuperSport is poised to be the first-ever, carbon neutral car to combine these two technologies and produce 1000bhp peak power.
The car will initially be raced as a demonstrator and technology test-bed, before embarking on global racing projects.
